The company SPUMOTIM SA is a sub-contractor of DACIA-RENAULT based in Timisoara, Romania. The company is 100% owned by Romanian shareholders as a private company. In a production area of 1500 square meters, they have installed 3 RIM machines acquired from BOSCH with which they produce seats of the DACIA car, as well as garden chairs. Mr. Olariu, Manager of the Department of Mechanical – Energy investment, was happy to show us the President® pumps used on his premises for feeding the polyurethane foam systems. “In the plant, there are three President® pumps and two Fast-flows. The two Fast-flows have been working in the plant for the past fifteen years without problems and without spares. They are used for lubrication.” “One of the President pumps was bought from Germany via Bosch as part of the system and SPUMOTIM bought another 2 this year (one to replace an older pump and one additional pump). The President® pumps have a ratio of 30:1 and work 20 hours a day”, advises Mr. Olariu. Their latest installation of the 2 President pumps is quite new (a year old), but due to expectations for orders from other automotive manufacturers, Spumotim plan to invest in another line within the next year. For Spumotim it’s clear that future products come from Graco.
